The James Johnson campaign has taken sides on today's hot issues and is glad to present them to the
public. On the topic of abortion we are very pro-choice, meaning we think the woman should have the choice to get an
abortion or not. On the Gun Control issue we think that huge, uneccessary guns, that are capable of mass destruction
are just that, uneccassary, therefore we think they should be banned. However, smaller guns such as pistols and small
rifles used for hunting are acceptable under certain circumstances. We also think education is very important for the
youth of America and think that as much money as needed should be given to the cause. In addition to that
we also think that the defense of our nation is important and are willing to keep providing our troops that defend us and
fight for us everyday, which is why we support National Defense, but unlike George Bush we would never send our troops in
to battle with out cause or reason. Taxes are also a very hot issue right now, George Bush has recently given the
rich tax cuts, this not only decreases the nations annual income, it also makes the rich richer. We think that the cuts
should be for the middle working class. George Bush has also had the largest decrease in jobs our nation has faced
since the Great Depression and we know this has to change, and believe as many jobs as possible should be created.
Homeland Security is very important in our platform. We think that the national government should be able to
do their job of protecting the nation, but we also think that the people's rights and freedoms need to be protected.
In addition we think that Affirmative Action was handled very poorly by George Bush and the minorties in this country
are not treated fairly. We will do everything we can to insure that no matter what race or ethnic backround someone
is, they are treated just like everyone else.
The Democratic Party has a certain stand on issues such as abortion, gun control, natioanl
defense, and so on. As you may notice, Johnson's stances on these topics are very similar, this is not a coinsidence.
